Publisher's Description:

Fotosizer -

Fotosizer is a freeware batch image resizer tool. It resizes your photos in just 3 easy steps: Select Photo(s), Select resize settings, Start the resize!

Increasingly, sharing photos on the internet is becoming more and more popular. Photos, represented as JPEG files from digital cameras, taken at high resolutions are far too large to send over the Internet, with some photos ending up at 5MB. Uploading one photo to a photo sharing website is fine, but 10, 20, or even more, this can take forever, especially on a dial-up connection.

Batch resizing

- Choose to resize by percentage of width and height

- Choose to set custom width and height

- Maintain aspect ratio

- Change Image quality

- Choose where the resized images will be saved

- Parameterised output filenames (width, height, date)

- Maintain EXIF/XMP information

Effects

- Choose to convert images to "Sepia" in addition to the resize

- Choose to convert images to "Black and White" in addition to the resize

- Choose to convert images to "Negative" in addition to the resize

Image selection

- Add single image or selection of images

- Add images from a folder

- Include sub folders when adding from a folder

- Shows thumbnail preview list of images due to be resized

- Shows details such as filename, original file size, file type of images due to be resized

Supported Image Formats

- JPEG images (*.jpg, *.jpeg)

- Portable Network Graphics (*.png)

- Windows Bitmap (*.bmp)

- True Vision Targa (*.tga)

- 8-bit Compuserve GIF(*.gif)

Multiple languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Portuguese (Portugal), Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese (Traditional), Dutch, Korean, Hungarian, Romanian, Greek, Serbian, Czech, Arabic

I was quite impressed, nice layout.easy enough to use,but would like to see the sizes match the megabytes instead of having to guess them roughly,as we are not all computer wizards.we just manage to get by,for more ease of use.I would certainly use it again & would recommend this,as I have tried a few others but there is so much jargon,I end up removing them.keep it up,good product.

Brilliant - you can't say much more than that, 450 photos, 5.6gig and this thing handled the lot in one batch wth ease. This is something I'd pay for.

Fotosizer is definitely as easy as it's claimed to be. It's also fast. I loaded a folder full of 10 megapixel photos at 3648 x 2432 and set it to reduce them all to 500 X 375 at 25%. It worked flawlessly and quickly. I am very pleased with the ease of use and functionality of Fotosizer.

Great little program!!! I needed something to do bulk resizing of picture files for our family web page, and this made it quick and easy to resize hundreds of pictures in just a few minutes.

I'm so glad I found this program!!!

A very good tool

To All,

Basically, this is a very useful tool. The interface could be unconsolidated a bit via tabs or a tree structure on the right hand side. In fact, you may want to move navigation to the right side, or not. Also, the interrupt capability of this tool needs some work as it will not respond once a batch cycle is underway. However, you cannot help but like the name, the flexibility of resizing options (particularly the percent option) and the selection display.

Overall, this is a very good tool in the making. You should definitely plan some upgrades, create a interface for add-ons, and market this tool as a photo utilities workshop. I'll be watching...

Cheers,

ChuckFizz

Brilliant Fotosizer!

Downloaded free Photosizer and although I have not looked full into its capabilities, reducing photo file size for email attachment was brilliantly simple. Great piece of software. Thanks.

Does what it`s supposed to!

A very handy little program. I used it to resize several hundred jpgs for a digital frame with little hassle.

One feature I would like to see added is the ability to resize based on whether the file is in portrait or landscape format.

It works!

Yes I only download this program to adjust/resize the size of multiple photos captured by my digicam. This small program works by adjusting the pixel as well as in percentage.
